We have used this section to collect what we hope will be
useful information on a wide variety of financial topics.
It is a fact that since the very
dawning of private share sales in coffee houses in London, the
nature and complexity of investments and assurance plans has been
plagued by jargon. Uugh! Fortunately the English language is capable
of many nuances of meaning, unfortunately the legal profession
has used most of them [apparently, in some cases, all in the same
document]! So we have included a jargon buster covering many of
the more commonly encountered terms – however – should you find
a term that is not featured and you would like clarification, do
let us know and we will interpret it back into understandable terms.
Also in this section are tax
tables for the current and recent years. You may want to know the
basic state pension allowance or want to know if the personal allowance
shown on your payslip is the standard allowance.
Please remember though, tax rates and allowances are changeable
and your personal circumstances, the time and manner of acquisition,
may effect how your income and capital is taxed.
This is also a useful point to collect helpful documents and
it is our intention to place more here over time. Initially we
have included the link to our interactive fact find, a pdf version
of the paper form for download and printing; and links to some
of our firms brochures.
We hope you find this section interesting and useful. Please
do let us know if there is something you would like us to develop
here.
